At Tuesday's National Science Foundation Town Hall, James Ulvestad, director of NSF's Division of Astronomical Sciences (AST), provided a status report on the fiscal year 2014 budget, the FY 2015 budget request, the new AST Mid-Scale Innovations Program, progress in responding to the recommendations of the latest decadal surveys, and the challenges posed by the AST Portfolio Review.
