SPD Harvey Lecture: Alexis Rouillard
The AAS Solar Physics Division (SPD) awarded its 2014 Karen Harvey Prize to Alexis Rouillard (University of Toulouse, France) "for his contributions to heliospheric imaging analysis and, through the combination of modeling and multi-spacecraft remote imaging and in situ observations, his contributions to the understanding of the sources and heliospheric evolution of corotating interaction regions, small-scale transients, coronal mass ejections, and solar energetic particle events." After being introduced by SPD chair Leon Golub (Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory), Dr. Rouillard gave his prize lecture, "Probing the Origin of the Slow Solar Wind, Coronal Mass Ejections, and Solar Energetic Particles by Combining Solar and Heliospheric Imagery with In-Situ Measurements." Rouillard also won the prize for the longest presentation title of the Boston meeting!
