Pierce Lecture: Jason Kalirai

Jason Kalirai (Space Telescope Science Institute) was honored with the Newton Lacy Pierce Prize for outstanding achievement in observational research by an early-career astronomer for his major contributions to the fields of stellar and galactic astrophysics. AAS President David Helfand (Quest University Canada) introduced Kalirai, whose Wednesday-morning prize lecture was entitled "Exploring the Stellar Graveyard of the Milky Way."
