AIP Gemant Lecture: E. C. Krupp
The American Institute of Physics (AIP) Andrew Gemant Award recognizes significant contributions to the cultural, artistic, or humanistic dimension of physics. AIP Vice President Catherine O'Riordan presented the award to Edwin C. Krupp (Griffith Observatory), who has brought the heavens to life through public outreach and education, planetarium shows, award-winning books and articles, television programs, exhibits, lectures, and public events. Krupp's archaeoastronomy research has explored the links between astronomy and ancient cultures, and that's what he spoke about in his prize lecture, "Star Trek: The Search for the First Alleged Crab Supernova Rock Art."
