The week's eighth and final press conference, on Thursday afternoon, was entitled "Cosmic Extremes." Regina Jorgenson (Institute for Astronomy) gave reporters the first detailed look at a normal galaxy in the very early universe, and Daniel Stern (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) and Francesca Civano (Yale University) unveiled new images from NASA's NuSTAR high-energy X-ray satellite.
