SPD Hale Lecture: Richard C. Canfield

Richard C. Canfield (Montana State University) received the George Ellery Hale Prize from the Solar Physics Division (SPD) "for his pioneering work on dynamics and radiation in solar flares and on the origins and implications of magnetic helicity in active regions, as well as for his role as a leader and mentor." Canfield gave his prize lecture entitled "Twisting and Writhing with George Ellery Hale."
